This article will guide you through the process of creating an account on LabXchange. This can be done using an email address or an edX account.

Creating An Account With An Email Address
- Go to www.labxchange.org and click Sign up.
- Click Continue with Email.
- Enter your details into the form then click Sign up.
- Check your inbox for an activation email and use the provided link to activate your account. If the email has not been sent automatically you can request that another copy be sent after 60 seconds.
- Select a role as a learner or educator. Those under 18 will be automatically assigned learner status, skipping this step. The main difference between the roles is the option for educators to create classes via their dashboard.
- You will now be logged into your LabXchange account. See our fundamental features articles or tutorials if you would like more information about using LabXchange.
Creating An Account With edX
- Go to www.labxchange.org and click Sign up.
- Click Continue with edX.
- You will be redirected to edx.org and need to sign in or create an account there. If you have an existing edX account you can sign in using those details. To create a new edX account select the Register option and fill out the provided form.
- Check your inbox for an activation email and use the provided link to activate your account. Having done this, click Continue to edX. You should be directed back to LabXchange.
- Enter your date of birth and click Submit.
- Select a role as a learner or educator. Those under 18 will be automatically assigned learner status, skipping this step. The main difference between the roles is the option for educators to create classes via their dashboard.
