Where should I begin?
If you are new to LabXchange, we recommend starting with the Explore page. Here you can learn about our featured subjects or browse assets from featured content sources. You can also see this week’s featured content. If you have created classes or connected with mentors or mentees, you will also see them here.
What can I do from my Dashboard?
From your Learner Dashboard, you can see:
- Content that you have favorited
- Content that you have added to your private library
- Your current and past classes
- Your mentors and mentees
- Your progress on pathways and content that have been assigned to you
What information can other users see about me?
It is up to you how much information you display in your public profile. You can share information about the city and country you live in, your school, and your interests. If you are enrolled in a class, your educator will be able to see your progress in viewing the assigned content, as well as your average score in the assessments you have completed, when these features are enabled in spring 2020.
You may want to check with an educator or parent about what information to include in your profile, and what to leave out.
How do I switch to an Educator account?
If you are over 18 years old, you can switch to the Educator role from your profile page. Enabling the Educator role cannot be undone.
How do I cite material that I found on LabXchange?
We recommend that you navigate directly to the source using the link on the asset page, and follow generally accepted guidelines for citing that specific type of content (for example, an online video or a website.)
