There are a number of situations in which you might want assistance in running a class on LabXchange, from managing a particularly large cohort to just having someone there to help your students when you aren't available. This can be solved by adding a co-educator to your class, which can be done during the setup process or at a later date.
When creating a new class, adding co-educators will be the final option before agreeing to the LabXchange Terms of Service and Privacy Notice and clicking the Create class button.
Note that the person you would like to add as a co-educator will need to have a registered account with LabXchange and have their profile set to allow them to be found via the LabXchange search function.
When adding a co-educator to an existing class, you will first need to open the class in question from the Classes I teach section your dashboard, then click the Class Settings on the right-hand side. As previously, the last option before updating will allow you to search for users.
Once a co-educator has been added they will have all the same options as the class coordinator (adding/removing content, accepting/rejecting requests to join, viewing progress). This includes the ability to add additional co-educators to the class, as well as create copies of the class for their own use.
